You have heard it said from the platform many times, “There are no dumb questions.”
And yet we are hesitant to ask questions.
Is it ego? Or just not wanting to disturb others?
You might even walk into a Home Depot store and not ask for help from the employees if you feel that it is rude or makes you look silly.
Someone Has The Answer To Your Question
You must ask questions.
Yes, asking questions is a sign that you do not understand what’s going on. Which is all the more reason to ask!
Getting lost with people who refuse to ask for directions is absolutely frustrating. What’s wrong with asking?
The response is usually, “I think I remember.”
It is our responsibility to help each other. And usually, someone is paid to answer your questions.
Questions Clarify The Path
Questions solve problems.
Lack of questions is not an indication of diligence. Often, an end product in the office is nothing close to what you have requested because the person in charge has not bothered to ask clarifying questions. Ensuring that the requirements are clear during the process is a better way to build any product.
What stops us from asking questions?
It could be pride, ego, or we are just plain busy.
Often, the dumbest question is the one we never ask.
