The rising trend as noted by Fortune is for knowledge workers who joined the company not for the rich stock options, the free cappuccino, the parties, or other great benefits, but because they could do meaningful work.
The top priority of every effective leader in the modern world is, “Are my employees engaged in work that has meaning?” To answer this question, the leader first needs to assess his or her own priorities and seek to answer the question – “Is my work providing meaning to my life and can I provide meaning to the lives of my followers?”
