The Importance of Sleep (And How to Get More of It)

If you’re not sleeping well consistently, the results can be more than just feeling bad; you could actually develop health problems, both physical and mental. Getting enough sleep on a regular basis is an important part of all-around health, and allows you to maintain good energy levels. If you’re not sleeping enough, here are some ways that you may be able to get some more Zzzzs–

Eat Well and Exercise

Eating well and exercising frequently are at the foundation of good sleep (and good health). Keep in mind that exercise doesn’t necessarily mean 30 minutes on a treadmill, but constant movement throughout the day. Use your body as much as you can, and fuel it with smart food choices.

Try Meditation

If you haven’t been sleeping well despite great diet and exercise, your lack of sleep may have to do with stress. One way that you can combat this is through meditation. You can learn to meditate in just two minutes!
