Productive Ways to Spend Time When You’re Bored
Most people pass boredom by remaining bored, perhaps flipping on the TV or browsing the internet for prolonged periods of time. However, there are many other things that you can do when you’re bored that are more productive. Consider these many options:
Have an extra 30 minutes to kill (or more ) and don’t have anything to do? Why not get in a walk or do a set of jumping jacks. Guarantee that you won’t regret it.
Catch Up on the News
Are you a little behind on what’s going on in the world? Why not take some time to catch up on the news when you’re bored? If you don’t like reading the news, you could always try watching the news or listening to a podcast or radio.
There is probably always something in your life that you can organize. Whether that means cleaning out your email inbox, putting together a to-do list for the week, or cleaning out your closet, staying organized will aid you in your aim to stay productive.
Find Something Free Happening Near You
If you live in a city, there are probably a number of free things going on on any given day. For example, check the calendar of your local library, or see if there are any bands playing at venues or restaurants near you. Some cities also offer free entrance to museums and art exhibits on certain days.
There’s no bad time to meditate, and if you’re bored, there’s no excuse not to meditate either.
What else would you add to this list of productive things to do when you’re bored?
