Getting Over the Middle of the Week Hump

Don’t lose energy in the middle of the week.

It’s Wednesday, which means we’re halfway through the week. For many, Wednesday may be the day when energy really starts to drag, and the middle of the week hump/slump/funk kicks in. Here are some tips to help you get over hump day and get through the rest of the week in good spirits–

Plan for Something Special

One way to get through Wednesday is to have something special planned for the end of the day. For example, you could make Wednesday your date night, or plan on cooking something new at home (if you’re someone who loves to try new things).

Do Something Exciting

Need a way to boost your mood on Wednesday? Plan for something exciting. Have you always wanted to go rock climbing, but have yet to try it? Wednesday could be your day. It doesn’t have to be crazy – even hosting a neighborhood game night or taking your pup on a new hike can be fun and energizing.

Be Inspired

If your energy levels are low, you might have a hard time finding inspiration in the world around you. Try to make an effort today to notice beauty and good in your surroundings.

Focus on Mind and Body

If your energy levels are low middle of the week, this is a sign that you’re probably not caring for your mind and body as you should be. You can remedy this by focusing on your mind and body a little more by taking today to plan to eat well, get outside, do some exercise and take five minutes to meditate.
