START YOUR DAY WITH A MINDFULNESS PRACTICE

Sometimes, the first five minutes of your morning can determine the mood for the rest of the day.

Meditating every morning is a great way to get started on the right track.

Although most people prefer to start their day with a meditation routine, it is not necessary to stick with a morning mindfulness practice. You can choose to exercise your five minutes of calm at any point in the day.

Practicing mindfulness alters the neural pathways in your brain. In fact, it is an effective tool to drive your business success.

 

A FEW MINUTES OF MINDFULNESS A DAY

You will notice that your behavior is less reactive and more in tune with the moment. Start with these simple tips:

  • Simple focused breathing can alter your mind’s response in any situation. In fact the simplest way to calm an agitated mind is to breathe slowly and deeply.
  • Observing, listening carefully, and engaging with people with all your attention is another way to reset your mind.
  • Express gratitude and appreciate more. Remind yourself of at least 3 things daily that you are grateful for. It is difficult for humans to exist in a state of anxiety while expressing gratitude.
  • Live in the moment every day. Be present in your interactions without any distractions. Turn your phone on silent mode and put it away when having conversations with other people.

Start with a simple mindfulness practice today and make it a habit. You will have more energy, feel less stressed, and even sleep better!
