One of the biggest breakthroughs in science to date is the fact that the brain can change itself and it is not fixed and static as it was once believed to be. This is called neuroplasticity and means that a brain can be rewired, completely changing previously held beliefs. Here are some ways that you can change your brain for the better, and make yourself a little bit smarter, every day–

Continue Learning

One of the best ways to improve your brain is to find some way to continue learning as much as you can. Maybe you take a class or maybe you read a book about a subject that is interesting to you. However, the goal is to always be learning something new.

Do Something Challenging

It is not just about learning; it’s about doing something challenging. Find something that is hard for you or makes you think, then do it. How many times have you quit something because it’s too hard? The fact that it’s hard is the point!

Be Creative

It’s not just about being able to think logically that’s good for your brain; being creative can change your brain for the better, too. When was the last time you did something creative, like paint, write a short story or dance? Challenge yourself to add some creativity to your life.
