After spending a year in rural Africa, you will have a profound new respect for a working toilet flush. In fact, for most of humanity, people managed without a sewer system. We live in a privileged time.
And yet, we take a lot of things for granted.
You miss the mountain of right when you focus on the molehill of wrong.
WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR?
This may sound too straight forward, but you have to start by deciding to be happy and thankful.
When you make the decision to be happy, our brain will find the reasons to be happy about. In other words, what you feed your brain is what magnifies in your consciousness.
When you list the things you are thankful for, your focus shifts to being grateful for the many small things we take for granted.
You will have your fair share of disappointments, for sure. But you will also turn them into reasons to be happy.
You can make this shift right now.
Starting at this moment.
You cannot do this for someone else.
No one else can do this for you and no one is going to stop you.
By turning your focus on things you are thankful for, you rise above the challenges and actually start looking for solutions.
