Improve Your Brain Power By Ending Negative Thinking
The thoughts that you have and on which you focus can have a profound effect on your mindset, abilities and success. Most of us have a constantly-running inner dialogue telling us that we can–or sometimes, that we cannot–do something. These inner voices can harm or hurt us. Luckily, there is a way to improve your brain power by understanding how internal dialogue can affect you.
The Power of Your Thoughts
The more you think, “I can, I can, I can,” the more you will. Studies have consistently demonstrated that our minds and the power of positive thinking are extremely powerful. On the other hand, the more that you tell yourself that you’re not good enough, a failure, lacking or unable to do something, the more negative effect this will have on your success.
What You’re Saying that May Be Getting You Down
We tend to fall into the habit of saying things that we don’t really mean or saying things that harm our energy. For example, how often do you say, “Okay,” when what you really mean is “No,” or “It’s not okay”? Or, how often do you tell yourself that things are just “how they are” and that you “can’t change anything”? Perhaps the worst is telling yourself that something is impossible or unachievable.
What words and phrases do you tell yourself that are holding you back? What could you be saying instead to improve your energy and well-being?
