Love is many a varied thing to many people. But the one thing it is not is forced.
You cannot try to love someone any more than the sun tries to shine on the earth.
Love is not genuine when you have to try. It appears in its own time and occurs naturally and without effort.
True happiness in relationships occurs when both partners accept each other just as they are.
Love Requires Commitment & Time
Infatuation requires neither commitment nor responsibility. Love, on the other hand, grows with trust and building trust takes time. Infatuation focuses on self, and on your feelings. Love focuses on the other person and their feelings and therefore does not require effort, but full and attentive presence. If you are fully present, you don’t need to prove anything. Your presence is enough.
When you trust another person, you are willing to listen to them simply out of love. No need to change or improve them.
Love Can Be Boring At Times
When people talk about a mundane love, they are most likely referring to a loss of passion. Passion brings with an element of excitement. It is possible to love someone but not have passion in the relationship.
Find the joy in the little things. Contentment in routine activities can lead to more fulfillment in your relationships.
Find unconditional acceptance in your relationship and you will have love. Add trust and commitment to the equation and you have the recipe for a fulfilled relationship.
