Perhaps the biggest barrier to success is intrinsic motivation, or the internal desire to achieve something, and be willing to put in the work to achieve it. While yesterday is over and done with, you can set yourself up for success by following these five motivating tips at the beginning of each day:
Make a Plan
Start off each morning with a plan for the day. Prioritize the things that are most important and need to be done first.
Start with an Affirmation
Starting with an affirmation as soon as you wake up in the morning is a wonderful idea that can restore your energy. Try saying, “Today, I am productive and happy.”
Get Your Heart Rate Up
Try to get your heart rate up every morning, even if it is only for a couple minutes. If you do not have time for a walk or exercise, do 100 jumping jacks in your kitchen or grab a jump rope and knock out some singles.
Take five to 10 minutes to meditate in the morning and focus on your achievements for the day. Visualize yourself being successful.
Get Out of Bed
The first step to having a positive day is to actually get out of bed. Even if it’s the weekend, do not fall victim to the desire to hit the snooze button. Getting up at the same time each day will help you to feel better over time.
