Healing the Brain
Have you noticed that you are unable to focus on one thing for more than a couple of minutes, especially when the thing to be focused upon is something deep (like a book or your own intellectual thoughts)? If so, have you further noticed a correlation between the use of technology and this lack of focus?

With the advent the web, social media, email, and texting, our brains have become accustomed to getting information immediately. We are constantly on the alert for something new, hence the reason we are constantly checking our emails or social media accounts. Our hungry brains are insatiable; it is time to heal them.
The Ability to Focus
The ability and the choice to focus on one thing for a prolonged amount of time is an indication of good health, clarity, and happiness. However, the ability to do this is elusive to even the best of us. What can we do to heal the brain?
Start by unplugging; if you sever your connections to the web for a day or two, or even a few hours, you will likely notice an improvement in your ability to focus and think more clearly. Try it and see how it goes.
