With the announcement of James Arthur Ray being charged with manslaughter I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my expertise from working with clients and interacting with guru’s and teachers.

I must give you a heads up that you probably won’t agree with me but that’s not the point it’s about giving you many different perspectives. You see when I heard about James Arthur Ray being charged and then jailed I felt that it was his turn to take his message, go inward AND bring it to an audience that truly needs some new tools and to learn some humility.

Guru’s come and go and ultimately the best idea is to find a teacher, not a guru, that will help you get to a higher place.

Guru, in the traditional sense, means to bring from out of the darkness into the light.

One thing that is dangerous in our society is that we are willing to GIVE OVER and have someone else do the work for us, when our souls are in need of the deep learning of our own how to. This is not what a guru is meant to do, but our thinking has led us to forget our discernment and follow others at an expense. In ancient times the guru only took on a student if they were willing to take on the karma of the student. A real guru is hard to find but the right teacher is usually waiting for your arrival.

The stuff that got James into trouble was the mind and not having enough love or humility. His techniques all came about through mind development and there are many out there that are good but universal law ensures that you will learn that mind is only one aspect and love is the greatest of all energy. He also got into trouble by mixing being a leader for a shaman type practice that requires acute awareness of all the facets of ancient energetic principles and balancing severity with love. There are so many things that we must be aware of particularly when leading a group through any practices that we aren’t trained well enough in. This training takes years to full grasp and manage. It is wise to use deeper levels of discernment for all our choices and truly listen to our inner voice no matter who is telling us what.

In our workshops and products we always use the disclaimer that you must make your own conclusions. We also ensure that you aren’t taking what we say as hook line sinker and pole. There are several teachers out there that are full of glitz and glam and are good showman, but what about the little voice inside you?

Mind power is good and can bring a lot of abundance, but without love and the balancing of mind, will, peace and love there will always be deception. The shaman’s call this the “trickster”. Love is the equalizer that ensures that deception does not take control. There must always be a love factor when utilizing powerful mind techniques else there is a downward spiral.
