The first lesson you learn in a martial arts class is that you need to protect the weakest parts of your body. Strengthening the weaker areas of your body is essential before developing the ability to train and practice martial arts over a long period of time. In other words, to throw a punch life Bruce Lee, you will have to train hard to first strengthen your fingers and toes.
A general business practice is to work on your strength and delegate your weakness. This is a reliable piece of advice that helps most leaders to achieve more. However, there comes a time when your weakness needs to be addressed. Are your administration skills weak? Are you always running behind schedule because your time management skills are non-existent?
You will have to learn to strengthen these areas and work on your weaknesses before you can start throwing the big punches.
