A relationship is often the most important aspect of communication. Better relationships facilitate better communication, which in turn fosters efficiency in the long run.
Looking for quick solutions? You will probably trample over other people’s feelings in trying to find the fastest way to solve a problem.
Often, people want you to listen to them more than they want you to help them solve their problems.
It shows them that you value their emotions, their thought processes, and their intelligence.
And in turn, they will finally be open to your advice and suggestions. But remember, listen first and then offer your perspective (only if asked for it).
