You can change your circumstances without truly transforming your life.
A temporary alleviation of suffering is not going to lead to a transformed life. Working on outer changes will only have temporary effects. To truly experience a transformation, you need to change your mindset.
The Mindset You Adopt Shapes Your Life
If you are constantly thinking to yourself that you are not worthy of love, dating other people is a waste of your (and their) time. No matter how hard you try to impress the other person, there is always a voice in the back of your head that whispers your unworthiness to you.
A person with a victim-mindset is never going to rise above the challenges of life unless he or she first changes the mentality of being a victim.
The same holds true for people who are stuck in a poverty mindset. Unless the are transformed in spirit and in their mind, their physical life remains the same.
You can experience change without undergoing a transformation.
But when you experience a transformation, your life changes dramatically.
How can you move the focus from trying to change your life to transform your life?
Your thoughts determine your beliefs and your beliefs determine your actions.
Most people try to change their actions (behaviors) to try to influence their beliefs, in the hope that their thoughts and mindset shifts in a positive direction. In reality, it should be the other way around.
So start with the mind.
Adopt a mindfulness practice and train your mind daily. Be positive and you will notice that your luck starts to change as well.
