As you move through life, taking time to self reflect (click HERE) on a regular basis is important. If it has been awhile since you last checked in with yourself, here are a four essential questions to ask:
- What Are My Values?
Grab a pen and paper and write down your values (click HERE). What things are most important to you in life? What things define you or define your beliefs?
- Are My Actions Aligned with My Values?
The next thing you should ask is whether or not your values align with your actions. You value compassion and giving but when was the last time you volunteered (click HERE)? Or, you value conscious living and environmentalism but you drive to work regularly. Assess areas in your life where you can make adjustments to ensure that your values are aligned with your actions.
- Am I Happy?
One of the most important questions to ask yourself is if you are happy. Further, follow up on that question by asking from where/what/whom you derive happiness. If you are not happy overall, you should make a change immediately (click HERE).
- What Will My Legacy Be?
Finally, ask yourself what your legacy will be. When you die, how will people remember you? If your current life is not aligned with what you want your legacy to be, rethink (click HERE) your path.
