Many of us spend too much of our time and our energy waiting for those around us to offer us validation and approval. However, self validation is the best and the most important type of approval there is. You should not wait around for others to tell you you mean something or have value.
Focus On What You Have, Not What You Lack
For whatever reason in today’s world people are very focused on what they lack rather than on what they have. This can lead to self-reprimanding behavior. The more you tell yourself you’re not good enough, the more that your energy and state of mind will suffer.
Acknowledge and Embrace Your Weaknesses
Another mistake that many people make is believing that if they have any weaknesses they need to correct them. While self-improvement is something you should always strive for, you may have to accept that you are who you are. When you acknowledge and embrace your weaknesses, rather than berating yourself for them, you will have improved energy levels.
Love Yourself
Ultimately, the goal is to love yourself. You can do this through telling yourself everyday that you are valuable and why.
