Start Your Day With A Feeling Of Joy
When your feet touch the ground, tell yourself that your day will be amazing. Remind yourself that no matter what, you will carry joy and be grateful for the day ahead.
Plan the details ahead and stick to a morning ritual that is consistent every day. It is important to set the schedule in advance. When you wake up at 6 am, your brain is still foggy and your body will drag you back into bed if you are not armed with a plan.
Create An Enjoyable Morning Ritual
Is it your morning cup of coffee or early morning jog? Or the newspaper? Perhaps taking the dog out for a walk or just enjoying the silence by yourself. Getting a pet is a great way to stay accountable. They will ensure that you wake up in time to take them out for their morning walk or serve their morning snack.
Finally, have realistic expectations about your sleep cycle. If you are up late working or watching shows on Netflix, your body will not respond well to the lack of sleep. You will need to exercise discipline with your sleeping and eating habits. Wrap up dinner by 7 pm and slip into bed before 11 pm and you will notice that waking up early is not so difficult.
