We adapt to be a certain way because we are afraid of failure. It is difficult to be truly happy when you are not being true to yourself.

Your physical body is a reflection of your standards. If you think of yourself as an athlete, you will do whatever is necessary to maintain that identity.

You live up to your standards, not your resolutions.
We live who we believe we are.
Back Up Your Standards With Rituals
Finally, develop the right rituals to set you up for success in achieving the vision.
Find a way to make your standards real. Success comes from committing to small daily actions. The habits you create will carry you through the times when your inspiration is low and enthusiasm is missing.
You can become the person you visualize and adopt the identity you want but you need to back it up with consistent actions. And the best way to achieve this consistency is to create daily rituals and habits.
