Your Gift Was Evident In Your Childhood
William Wordsworth (in his poem, “My Heart Leaps Up,”) said that the child is father of the man. Our adult behaviors are a reflection of habits created in our childhood.
When you observe children, it is easy to pick out their unique gifts. Some are born to be orators, engineers, doctors, caregivers, and others are developing traits that will be unique skills for a future career yet unknown.
What did you enjoy doing as a childhood? How did you occupy yourself in your formative years?
Did you enjoy the outdoors and exploring your neighborhood? Perhaps you live to travel as an adult.
Maybe you pretended to play doctor and continue to serve people through the field of medicine as an adult.
Or, you were always engrossed in a book as a child. And as an adult, you have found your niche in a publishing house or as a writer.

Decide To Build Your Gift
The unimpressive beginnings of your gift was evident when you were younger.
The ability to make people laugh, to paint a pretty picture, to play a tune on the piano, or to make money by selling lemonade on a Saturday morning.
Find out what you enjoy dong. That thing that you loved doing as a child. Focus on building that gift.
