The first conference I ever went to was in Las Vegas called CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and it was huge and daunting. I recall the speakers were so out of touch with the audience. We were exhibiting and it was exhausting.
It wasn’t until I had my first near death experience, that I went to a conference where there was information that would save my life. It came at the right time and I had been keeping the phone number for a while until I could get up from my sofa.
One thing that felt so in tune with who I am is that there was a component of feeding people who were living on the streets.
Ever since then each of our conferences we have partnered with charities to create a contribution that will last beyond for all of the attendees. Dollars that come from the event are given to those who are in need, because we are so blessed to not be in their shoes. The thing that I adore about this is that the good karma continues for every single attendee beyond just attending and getting the nuggets.
We are all meant to contribute and we do by our mere existence on the planet. That existence and contribution expands as we are more and more successful in our lives. At least that is true for the folks who are in our tribe.
