I have a wall of bamboo trees the line my backyard on three sides. This winter they flourished with all the fresh rainwater. All that flourishing is great and yesterday was super windy.
That wind left a lot of that flourishing of leaves piled all over my beautiful fake grass. (I like seeking the green and tidiness likely because I tried so many things back there that this is the one that is consistently beautiful.) Yes I have fake grass for the planet and it always looks perfect except when it’s covered with dried up bamboo leaves. It is a mess.
Life is messy.
I got my tiny rake out and tried a few swipes, but that wasn’t cutting it. I had to get the broom out and swept the entire back. I got into a zone and just kept going and had a pile of leaves about 2 feet high. For a small yard that’s a lot.
Growing a business is messy and there will be lots of piles of stuff to handle and sweep up.
So now I have a few piles of leaves and debris that will go into the green bin. The sweeping was, fun but the picking it up for the final piece wasn’t as fun.
Doing stuff you think someone else ought to do is always part of growing to that next level. In the beginning you are “the” one. Even after you’ve got folks doing things you shouldn’t be, you’ll still be “the” one that needs to be fully responsible for the energy and ultimate success of what they are putting out there on your behalf. You may even have to learn new stuff just so you know the elements of what “they” are doing and if it’s to “your” standards (which I hope are high).
I do have a gardener, but picking it up gave me a sense of what I needed for ultimate flow in my day.
You see…every time you see something that is out of order your mind goes into negative mode and not taking care of it quickly or having it taken care of quickly actually drains some of your life force.
I know this may sound “weird”, but this is the very reason that there’s a standard for the military to make their beds in a particular way. Consistency, consistency, consistency.
If there’s something messy in your life or business and you’re trying to fix it with another website revision, another writer/editor, another video style, another post on social media then you’re looking at the wrong mess.
The mess that you need to clear up, clean up and work with is your energetics and your head.
That’s where nature intended for our genius to shine anyway, yet we’re going after the other stuff as if it’s the problem. We are the solution and it’s locked inside our energetics and then our brains.
Hey if you want out you could meditate and I’ve heard that, but it’s doesn’t actually solve the energetics of the issue. If it does it takes a dang long time using that method.
