Your goals need to be big and audacious. They also need to be achievable. That means the path you set for yourself needs to be ambitious and yet realistic.
The way seems challenging when you take your eyes off the road in front of you and start looking around and way ahead into the distance. To achieve your destination, you need to navigate the path that is right in front of you at this moment. There are two lessons that nature can teach us in how to achieve our path with ease:
Your Path Is Your Decision
Water flows with ease around obstacles. It does not fight against obstacles but finds its way around them. Could we all flow like water?
What are the properties of water that allow it to flow so freely?
Water never gets stuck in a place that restricts. It looks for a way out.
You can always change direction.
This is by no means an excuse to leave an unhappy marriage. Look at the restrictions in your marriage that are leading to the current circumstances. Is there a way out that does not involve divorce or separation? (Hint: yes, there always is).
Grow Around Your Obstacles
Like a vine that clings to the wall and grows around objects, you can also develop through your obstacles.
Every frustration you face is an opportunity for growth. With a growth-mindset, you are more likely to achieve success rather than give up in increased frustration.
Be like water, be like the vine. Embrace the difficulties of the moment and grow past them.
