We are each the unique guardians of a creative power that is manifested first through our imagination and then through our ability to communicate and finally, the determination and skill to perform necessary actions.

This innate power in us is often suppressed by expectations from society and the rigid structures of current education systems. Most people think they are not creative because they performed poorly at school in subjects that are considered essential to success. They often ignore the importance of arts in boosting their creative imagination and capacities.
Creativity is expressed in the power to discover new possibilities and to find new solutions.
By engaging with your creative process, you will engage your mind through critical thinking and boost innovation.
When you are engaged in a creative process, you enter the state of flow. Your mind is resistant to distractions and feelings of anxiousness subside. As a result, your awareness and self-confidence improves and you are more willing to take risks, make mistakes and accept that failure is a part of the learning process.
Creativity is an essential expression to your well-being.
Start by asking questions and investigate all possibilities.
Write down a list of ideas – add to this list daily.
Indulge in exploring your curiosity rather than settling for standard answers.
How To Engage Your Creativity
Creativity is often a marker for pleasure. Note the times when you felt the happiest – what were you doing at that time?
When were you feeling your worst? What were you doing in that period of your life?
From these two situations, work out your values… what is really important to you and what makes you truly happy. Make a note of every value that comes up in these two scenarios – loyalty, acceptance, fun, independence, generosity…
Now, sort these words out under different themes: professional development, dreams, learning and growth, family, and so on.
Next, make a plan for how you will spend more time in each of these areas. How will you live up to your top 5 – 10 values this year? Make a list of actions, schedule them in your calendar and create habits to ensure you live out these values daily.
When you live from your core values, your creativity will receive a boost. For sustained happiness and growth, engage in activities that are purposeful and meaningful to you.
