What to Do When You’re Highly Sensitive: Tips for Avoiding Getting Stuck
Being highly sensitive isn’t a bad thing, but it does leave you at a higher risk of feeling people’s negative energy and letting it get you down. Here are a few things that you can do to avoid anxiety and getting stuck:
Ask for Support
If you’ve been around a bunch of negatively all day, don’t be afraid to ask for some upbeat company. A dinner party is a great way to boost your mood, or get outdoors for a hike with a group.
Be Aware of Your Space
The world can feel loud and abrasive. For this reason, it’s important that you keep your home, office, of even your desktop clear of clutter. Open space will do you well – don’t forsake the importance of keeping things clean and getting outdoors!
If you’re feeling ultra-sensitive or are feeding off another person’s negativity, sometimes, talking it out is the best method of resolving the problem.
Crying is a type of cathartic release. Not that you should cry, but getting out negative energy in your body for positive results will help.
If you’re feeling stressed, one of the best things that you can do is move it off. Lift some weight, go for a walk, or do some jumping jacks.

- Not sure what I was going for with this one but I do know that having my picture taken isn’t always something I am super comfortable with. I completely respect those who do love having their photo taken. . So the story I’m going with for this is that there are many things in our world that needs looking in a different direction. Sometimes it’s more looking up or ahead but right now everyone seems to be looking down and away. . Look at people around you. Notice what’s happening and smile and don’t be like everyone else.
