Everyone has had a day where they are just too-plain-tired to think, and it feels as if the day just won’t end. Maybe it’s because you haven’t slept well for days, or perhaps you’re just burnt out and extremely stressed. Whatever the reason, here are some tips for making it through the day when you’re too tired to think–
Get Your Blood Pumping
It may sound counterintuitive, but one thing that you can do to improve your energy when you’re really beat is to do a little exercise. No, don’t go run a marathon, but do consider going for a brisk walk, doing some jumping jacks or busting out some pushups.
Squeeze in a Power Nap
Not everyone has the time to take a nap during the day, but if you are able to, you should try your best to squeeze in a snooze of between 20 and 30 minutes. Any more than this and you’ll be left feeling drowsy; any less and you won’t benefit too much.
Be Conscious of What You Eat and Drink
Certain foods and beverages can provide you with energy, while others can deplete it. For example, avoid drinking too much caffeine – however, having a cup of coffee is totally fine, and can help! Further, stay away from sugar, which will give you a short burst of energy, only to result in a crash later on.
