Most people want to have more money. However, the unfortunate truth is that too few people who want money know how to manage money correctly. This leads to high spending habits, credit card debt, or simply an inability to ever do more than break even. Here are some tips to help you start saving a little more money as of today.
Check In With Your Money Once a Week
One of the easiest ways that you can ensure that you’re on track financially is to make a weekly check in date with your money. During this time, review your budgets and go over how much you made and spent the previous week. If you spent more than you made, it’s time to do so readjusting.
Cut Out Your “Extras”
Do you really need cable? Or is it sucking your finances and wasting your time? Do you have to get that latte from the cute café down the street, or you could make coffee at home? If you turn down the latest designer boots, will you really feel out of style? Think about all of the unnecessary things that you spend money on. Cut them out. You’ll feel more gratified spiritually and financially.
Get Your Emotions in Check
Most excessive spending is done when emotions are higher. Rather than making that big purchase, take the time to learn some exercises to help you calm down and get control of the situation. Success coach and mentor Sheevaun Moran can help.
