When you wake up every morning, what is it that grabs your attention – your alarm clock, or your passion? For most people, rising every morning is a result of habit that’s tied to the bell (or whatever other sound you’ve selected for your alarm), and not idea of joy that comes with a new day. When the thing that is getting you up in the morning isn’t something you love, your energy may be taking a backseat.
What’s Your Passion?
Many people have no idea what they are passionate about. If you are in this category, don’t wait another day to start figuring it out. Ask yourself:
- What makes you feel excited?
- What motivates you?
- If money wasn’t an issue, what would you do?
If your current job doesn’t fit into the above answers, that’s okay – we all have to work sometimes at things we don’t love. However, you should find something that you can do in addition to your current job that stimulates you and that you find exciting. If you can, finding a job that you’re passionate about is ideal, too.
Stop Wasting Your Energy On Other People’s Passions
The thing is: When you are not working towards your passion, but you’re working, you are spending your energy on someone else’s dream. What about your dreams? What about the things you care about? If you don’t start putting your passion toward your energy now, it may never happen.
