The more you think, “I can, I can, I can,” the more you will. Studies have consistently demonstrated that our minds and the power of positive thinking are extremely powerful. On the other hand, the more that you tell yourself that you’re not good enough, a failure, lacking or unable to do something, the more negative effect this will have on your success.
What You’re Saying that May Be Getting You Down
We tend to fall into the habit of saying things that we don’t really mean or saying things that harm our energy. For example, how often do you say, “Okay,” when what you really mean is “No,” or “It’s not okay”? Or, how often do you tell yourself that things are just “how they are” and that you “can’t change anything”? Perhaps the worst is telling yourself that something is impossible or unachievable.
