Thanksgiving has come and gone, and if you are like most people, you may now be dealing with a bit of a hangover, whether alcohol or tryptophan-induced. But rather than lying around all weekend in a post-Thanksgiving stupor, you should start to take action now to get your energy levels back up.
Commit to Moving
The easiest way to get your energy levels back up is to actually get up and do something. This means no more lounging on the couch. If it’s good weather where you live, take advantage of the sunshine by getting outside! Even if it’s not, head to the gym, walk the mall, or do some exercise in your home.
Meditate
It’s easy to get caught up in the stress of the holiday, and there is no doubt that holiday stress can be pretty exhausting. To overcome the mental fatigue that you may be feeling, try meditating. Meditation is a great way to get control of your thoughts and provide yourself with peace of mind.
Plan for Your Week
Monday means back to work, which means that you have the rest of today and tomorrow to recharge your batteries. One thing that can help you to get your energy levels back up is to plan for your week in advance. This will make things more manageable in the office once you go back.
